Color Club Soft As Cashmere

Okok, I admit. I bought this mostly because of the cosy name. Soft as Cashmere.
It sort of just seduced me into buying it. Doesn't the name hollers COMFORT?

Color club Soft As Cashmere

But I was not in the least disappointed. The gray/beige/nude/mushroomy trend a while back did not appeal that much to me, but I was surprised I liked this color so much.

It has a creame finish, a light brown or gray, or kind of a mix, and it depends on your skintone and the lighting to depend which shade show out more.

The formula is quite thin, so I took 3 layers to acheive opacity. It gets quite streaky in the first two application, but it all evened out in the last layer.

In the evening sunset, it shows a lot more brown than gray, but in the afternoon, it is more gray than brown.

Picture taken in the evening
Since I am more yellow toned, I think the gray showed up more on me than others. In fact, in the afternoon, it looks more light cement color than anything.

Color Club Soft As Cashmere
This color is very suitable for office wear, more formal occation, but some may not like it. It might look like mud to others, but I absolutely adore this shade because the color looks so comfortable... it reminds me of wool sweater in winter-time.

I do know that some nail bloggers don't like this shade, but I just love it! (a part of it due to the name anyway)
It's really a nice shade to wear and it makes my skintone looks lighter, not to mention my hands look clean in a weird sort of way, Maybe it's because the skintone around the color looks more fairer than the rest.

Haha... hope you like it too. Next on my list is Essie Playa del Platinum to try. I'm gonna get it on my next splurge. It looks lighter than Soft as Cashmere, but those mushroomy wearable colors. Till then!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps

When I wanted to get China Glaze, I didn't know which color to get. Where do I start?
So I googled China Glaze Must have colors, and this came out on many list many times. Without much thinking, I added them to my order, since one can never have too much reds anyway.

And I'm glad I did.

Introducing awesomeness in a bottle (drumrollssssssss): Tahhhdahhhh.... China Glaze Ruby Pumps!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps

When I first saw the bottle, I literally drooled. It was gorgeousness in a bottle. It was sparkly red and red and sparkly and red. Ok... that was a bad description.

Ruby Pumps was a lovely red with red sparkles, in a red based jelly. It might look a little dark red, but it was sparkly when you look at it in another angle. It's not cheap red, but makes you think of high classed, magical unforgettable red sparkles. Not angry red, but simply magical red. Do you get me?

And yes, it was nearly impossible to photograph it's true colors, until I adjust my camera setting.

The true color can never show up if it were to show my real skintone, so I adjusted the lighting to 'incandescent".
It makes me look blue... a little, like avatar, but it shows the true awesomeness of Ruby Pumps.

It's just a normal red, nothing special, I'll pass red in normal camera setting. See the normal skintone? You can't capture the beauty of Ruby Pumps here.
Ruby Pumps in shade
In direct sunlight, you see the flecks of the sparkles, but no shining shining sparkles there. Again, it's just a normal red.

But look at these in incandescent lighting! Weird avatar skintone, I know, but the shining little sparkles are peeking out of the deeper based red jelly!!! Awesome Rubio Pumpo!
China Glaze Ruby Pumps

It actually is silver sparkles in deep red jelly, but I believe the jelly dye them red, because when I remove them, I see silver sparkles on my nails. Amazing eh?
Can I drool 1 more time? Ahhhhhhhhhh! The pretties on mah fingers!
I decided to konad them with golden stars! These konading are done with Konad Plates M3, with China Glaze Passion from the Romantique collection. Will do a comparison between China Glaze Passion and 2030 soon.

French Manicure Bubble Bath and Alpine Snow

I love love love traditional french manicures, but I know some think it's boring... but it's so clean, and crisp and nice... and so damn hard to do!

I have no artistic genes in me. Yeah, my mom's an artist and all that but I just can't draw. It's not in me. I can't draw a straight line without a ruler. I cant draw a flower without looking crooked... somehow. So.. french manicure IS rocket science... to me.

But I did one. :D
Recently. Be nice. Please.

Before and After French Manicure

I used them little strips of french manicure tapes for painting my french tips. Free hand is totally out of the question. Are you kidding me??? Freehand?

My Final Product of French Manicure

French Manicure with Bubble bath and Alpine Snow + Poshe top coat

I did contemplate to buy OPI bubble bath or not. But I'm glad I did! :D
Application of Bubble bath is smooth, formula is kinda watery, but I like it!

I know there are two versions of Bubble bath running around, but I must have gotten the pink version, but I like it! It makes my nails look so natural and healthy! Yes yes, it's boring, but it's nice... I think. :D

Alpine Snow is OK, no biggie there. Just something to paint my french tips with. Opaque and a little thick, but it's white. I'm not gonna ask too much from it. Plus, it's only on like.. less than 20% of my nails, I'm not gonna be too hard on it.

OPI Alpine Snow (l); OPI Bubble Bath (r)

And they shall live happily ever after
I'm gonna marry them and they are going to live happily every after. Well... maybe Alpine snow is going to be paired with others, but these two are the perfect mate!
